Turkey Trot

Celebrate a Peoria tradition this Thanksgiving season at the oldest race in the Peoria area! The Peoria Turkey Trot invites runners of all ages to take on a 4-mile course featuring 3 ¼ miles of blacktop—including the famous Detweiller hill—and a final ¾ mile on turf.

Race Divisions: Male & Female, ages 12 & under through 70+
Youth Fun Run: Half-mile race for kids 12 & under at 12:45 PM. Every participant receives a ribbon!

Awards & Prizes:

• T-shirts for all 4-mile race entrants
• Top two finishers in each division plus overall male & female winners receive a trophy and a certificate for a turkey!
• Youth Fun Run participants receive a ribbon

Registration Fees (include t-shirt unless noted):

• $21 All Runners through Nov. 14
• $18 IVS Members through Nov. 14
• $24 All Runners after Nov. 14
• $5 Youth Fun Run (no t-shirt)

Pre-register online at PeoriaParks.org by Friday, November 21 at noon, or sign up on race day between 12:00–12:45 PM at the lower entrance concession building at Detweiller Park. Registration can also be done via mail in form here.
