In this special program, a naturalist will introduce our self-guided mindfulness walk and guide participants through the reflective exercises in Stella’s Path: A Guide to Mindful Reflection in Nature. Adults are invited to learn the history of Forest Park Nature Center and Nature Preserve. Come and listen to creepy tales Forest Park past and present. After, guests will have the opportunity to hike to some of the locations mentioned in the presentation! Be prepared to travel at least one mile as the sun sets. Join us for a Women’s only trek and celebrate Halloween. Hike friendly costumes are encouraged. Connect with other adult women who like hiking, nature and meeting new people. There will be a short introduction and then we will be on our way. Prepare for hiking about 2 hours depending on breaks. This is a harder level hike with slopes. You can visit and shop starting 11/21 through 12/30. It is open from 9:30am-5pm Tuesday- Saturday. FPNC is closed Sundays, Mondays, and holidays during run of Nature Art Show.
