Hockey – Adult

Current Programs

Does watching the big hockey game on TV or in the stands get your competitive juices flowing and make you long for the chance to play?  Owens Recreation Center can help!  Follow Owens Center on Facebook for the most up to date information on classes, leagues and programs.

Adult Hockey League

This is a NO CHECK and NO FIGHT league and is for anyone age 18 and above. Leagues are offered during winter (October-March) and summer (June-August).  Play is based on a combination of USA Hockey and Owens Center Adult Hockey League rules.  To read full rules for adult hockey leagues, please CLICK HERE.

 

Rat Hockey

Rat Hockey is a drop in session for adults to scrimmage with other players. Play hockey to keep in shape! Please reference the monthly Developmental Hockey Session Schedule for times.

 

Adult Coed Clinic

In this program, players will concentrate on a specific skill with specialized attention. Clinic sessions are offered during the spring and will focus on skills needed to make complete hockey players.
Week 1: Power Skating (stride and fast starts)
Week 2: Stickhandling
Week 3: Passing
Week 4: Shooting (wrist, backhand, snap & slap) shots
