Ever wonder why there are so many hills in central Illinois when the rest of the state is so flat? Join our Naturalists as we journey into the geologic past. We will read the stories written in our rocks and learn more about how Illinois was shaped.

These hikes are guided by our team of naturalists and feature the wonders of the Illinois river bluffs as they change over the seasons. Hikes are low-impact unless indicated otherwise, and can be stroller or wheelchair-accessible.

Advance registration is required. Fees are $5 per person or FREE for FPNC members. All ages are welcome!
