Park-A-Palooza Frequently Asked Questions

On Saturday, June 8th, general admission is $5 and $15* for anyone participating, with the exception of the first session for those 6 and under where admission is $10*. Everyone who enters on Saturday, June 8th will receive 8 samples for the Soda Pop-a-Palooza area.

All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

There are limited spots available for each time slot. We recommend purchasing tickets in advance to guarantee your spot.

*The above prices are advance ticket prices. For the Adventure Area, tickets will increase by $5 if purchased on-site, should tickets remain available.

Please aim to arrive around 30 minutes before the session you have purchased tickets for and head to our check-in tent located at the Gateway Building. We’ll quickly check your tickets so please have these printed or ready to show on your cell phone. We’ll then exchange your tickets for wristbands for those that are participating in the Adventure Area so you’re ready to enter your session at your scheduled time.

Showing up late to your session will not prohibit you from being able to enter, however your session will not be extended further than the original ending time. Additionally, if you miss your allotted timeslot you will not be able to join another one.

Anyone is able to participate, regardless of age. However, there are limited spots available per time slot and some attractions are designed for certain age groups. Parents/caregivers can join children too, although they will also need to buy a separate ticket, if they plan to enjoying the attractions. There is one session specifically designed for children 6 and under on Saturday, June 8th at 11am. We recommend younger children sign up for this session, if at all possible.

No. Only children under the age of 16 must be accompanied into the Adventure Area.

It’s free for parents to attend the event with their children on Friday, June 7th, unless a parent/caregiver is participating the fee is $10.

On Saturday, June 8th, parents who are not participating will need a $5 general admission ticket which includes 8 samples to the Soda Pop-A-Looza. If parents/caregivers are participating, regular ticket fees apply.

Please see your ticket and corresponding timeslot for details on the Adventure Area. On Saturday, June 8th, you are able to access the Soda Pop-A-Looza area any time between 11am and 7pm.

Having this much fun in the outdoors will require some energy. So we suggest you dress in something to keep cool. Some attractions will require tennis shoes and shoes, while others will require participants wear socks only.

We require each participant to have their own pair of socks. If you happen to forget socks, we will have a limited amount of socks available for purchase on a first come, first serve basis.

Attractions will include an inflatable zip line, air jumper, Ninja Nation obstacle course. Several inflatables, a rock climbing wall, gaming trailer, and basketball game.

We will have food and drink available for purchase. We will have seating areas available in Festival Park.

This is a rain or shine event and we won’t let some light rain stop the fun. We recommend checking the local weather report in advance of your session and dressing appropriately.

The safety of our customers and staff comes first and in the case of thunderstorms, heavy rain, strong winds or other adverse weather conditions that would pose a risk we reserve the right to postpone, reschedule, cancel or alter elements of the event or individual sessions. We keep a close eye on the weather ahead of our events and will communicate any changes as soon as we can to ticket holders via email, and on the Facebook event page. In the event that your session is cancelled due to inclement weather, we will work with you to re-schedule your timeslot or refund your money.

Street parking is available on Water Street, Main Street, in the RiverPlex parking lot and in the Caterpillar parking lot on Hamilton Street after 5pm on Friday and all day on Saturday.  

If you have pre-booked keep your eye on your inbox (including your junk folder) the day before for any updates and/or additional information.

To guarantee your spot we recommend purchasing in advance online from www.peoriaparks.org Sessions can completely sell out in advance of the event. If a session is sold out online this means it is full. No more tickets will be available on-site on the day.

All sales are final, and we cannot refund tickets unless a refund is due in accordance with our weather & date change policy. Please contact the Peoria Park District office at 309-682-1200 in the event of any significant plans changing that will prohibit you from attending the event.

If you ordered your ticket off our website (via Etix), please call 1-800-514-ETIX for further help or visit https://support.etix.com/ to request it be resent. Physical tickets purchased at the Park District Office cannot be replaced.

Very young infants that will be worn/in a carrier do not require a ticket.

If you have access to a printer we recommend printing your tickets as this will speed up your check in process, but so long as you can show your email receipt or tickets on your phone you will be good to go!

If your event has been cancelled or postponed you will have received an email outlining your options. If one of those options allowed you to request a refund, rest assured that we are working through these and will notify you when the refund has been processed. If you chose to keep your tickets, new tickets for the rescheduled date will be issued soon.

We aim to have 1-2 food and beverage vendors during the event. As these are subject to availability we can’t give any specifics on the vendors that will be present. You are welcome to bring along a cooler with your own food and drinks (non-alcoholic) in case nothing takes your fancy on the day, or if you have specific dietary requirements.

We will have picnic tables in the park for seating. Feel free to bring along picnic blankets or collapsible chairs at your own discretion.

Whilst we do allow those who are pregnant to take part, you do so at your own discretion. Be mindful that the surface of any inflatables can be unpredictable, and you may lose your footing at points.

We’re afraid no pets are allowed, unless they are service animals.

Yes, you may bring your own folding or lawn chair, however we reserve the right to limit the number and size of blankets and chairs used by individuals and groups.  The venue is often full; please respect each other by occupying adequate, but not excessive space. There are limited amounts of bench and picnic table seating already in the venue.

No outside food or beverage is allowed. Food and drink (soft drinks and alcoholic drinks) are available inside the venue for purchase. Both, PPD Concessions and outside vendors will accept cash and credit card.

No, these are all ages show.

No, children 6 and under do not need a ticket. Children over the age of 6 will require a ticket.

By taking part in this or any Peoria Park District RiverFront event, you grant the event organizers full rights to use the images resulting from the photography/video filming, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images for fundraising publicity or other purposes to help achieve the group’s aims. This might include (but is not limited to), the right to use them in their printed and online publicity, social media, press releases, and funding applications. If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform an event organizer or the credentialed photographer.

Be aware that third party ticket resellers and brokers may use “The Landing” or “The RiverFront” name in some way to sell overpriced or invalid tickets.  The recommended course of action is to not use third party reseller sites and ONLY purchase authentic tickets directly through etix.com.  This is the only way to be sure you get authentic, face valued-priced tickets.  IF you purchase a ticket for Park-a-palooza from a reseller you do so at your own risk. 

Purchasers of Peoria Park District Park-a-Palooza Concerts and event tickers may not resell their tickets for more than the face value of the ticket.  Purchasers who are caught reselling their tickets for above face value may be subject to ejection from the venue, may have their tickets revoked, and may be banned from the future purchase of tickets to Peoria Park District hosted events.

The show will take place over the Illinois River across from the Green Space between Main St. and Martini’s (same location as the annual Red, White, and BOOM fireworks show). The best viewing area is from the Green Space.

This is a free show – no tickets necessary.

The show will not take place in rain or excess wind.
