Join this Nature Journaling Series that gives guests the opportunity to learn how to be mindful in nature. This four-part series will enrich guests by giving them background knowledge on nature journaling and hands-on activities on mindfulness, journaling, awe and art in nature. Adult guests are invited to register for all four sessions but each session can be enjoyed separately. Supplies and refreshments will be provided at every session.

Fee: $5 per person/FPNC members FREE

Themes:
• January 11: Mindfulness and Nature Journaling: Participants will be introduced to nature journaling and the benefits of mindful activities while observing nature silently.
• January 25: Mindfulness and Nature’s Art: Participants will be given an opportunity to take pictures during their hike and do a watercolor of their outdoor experience.
• February 8: Mindfulness and the Power of Awe: Participants will have guest speaker Martha Brunell guide them in a mindful experience and study the science of awe.
• February 22: Mindfulness and the Five Senses: Participants will be encouraged to focus on how it is to smell, touch, see, and hear nature then reflect on their experience.
