Sommer Farm is a use-by-reservation/rental/special events/wedding facility with a focus on living history and environmental education. The 320-acre site offers private picnics and outings for groups of up to 1000, primarily April through November. The park also features a teams course and a community loved summer day camp “Ancient Oaks!”

Schoolhouse – Chapel (Capacity 100)
Celebrate the special day in a rustic way…The Schoolhouse is perfect for a wedding, complete with the sound of the antique bell. Natural landscape and historic buildings enhance the special day.

The Prairie Shelter (Capacity 200)
Large covered shelter ideal for a reception in a quaint setting. The Prairie Shelter allows self-catering, alcohol and offers a large playground to entertain children attending reception.

The controlled application of fire, under specific weather conditions, to restore a natural process, ensure ecosystem health and resiliency, and reduce wildfire risk. The Burn Crew are trained fire experts, aware of fire behavior and control techniques, that follow nationally set standards to ensure the safety of the crew, nearby residents and private property.
