While we celebrate Earth Day all year long, we are proud to feature a week-long celebration throughout the District each April.

Earth Week provides an extended period for people to reflect on their impact on the planet and take meaningful actions to reduce their ecological footprint. It emphasizes the importance of long-term commitment to environmental stewardship and encourages ongoing efforts beyond the designated Earth Day.

Participation in Earth Week activities fosters a sense of global responsibility and helps build a collective movement toward a more sustainable and resilient future for the Earth.

Starting with the popular Earth Day festival at Forest Park Nature Center and concluding with an Arbor Day Tree Planting event at Donovan Park, and filled with fun in between, this week is filled with education, experience, and inspiration!
