Chip & Seal- September 2026
Chip seal work is scheduled for several Peoria Park District locations today, Wednesday, September 2.
Work is expected to begin around 7:00 a.m. at South Road in Detweiller Park before moving to Camp Wakanda Scout Road and then Bradley Park.
At Bradley Park, work will include Park Road, the uphill section of Columbia Terrace and the Dog Park parking lot.
The contractor expects work to be completed by early evening, but exact timing at each location may vary. Please use caution in these areas and plan for temporary traffic or parking impacts while work is underway.
Newman Stump Restoration– July 2026
As part of routine inspections and preventative maintenance, staff identified a condition requiring restoration. The carving has been temporarily removed for restoration and will be reinstalled on a new permanent concrete base. Thank you for your patience as we preserve this community landmark.
