This free community event invites attendees to experience a powerful evening of live entertainment\, cultural experiences\, food\, family activities\, creative activations\, youth engagement\, and opportunities for reflection and remembrance along Peoria’s RiverFront. \nJubilee Day takes place from 4:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Eckwood Park and the RiverFront Village Green Space. Guests are encouraged to attend the full celebration and experience the energy\, culture\, and community throughout the evening. \nView the event map here! \n\n\n\n\nThe celebration will feature live music and entertainment\, including Devin Brown and Jaylin Howard\, VJ Divide\, and a headline performance by MJ The Illusion. DESCRIPTION:Join the Peoria Park District Board of Trustees Planning and Programming Committees for a special Talk About It Tuesday focused on the future of Owens Center. \nOwens Ice Center is currently in the design phase of a major facility improvement project\, with construction anticipated to begin in 2028. Planned improvements include a new ice plant\, expanded bleacher seating at Rink 2 with additional locker rooms\, upgrades to existing locker facilities\, expansion of the lobby area\, a new concessions space\, and additional parking. \nThis community conversation offers an opportunity to learn more about the proposed improvements\, view preliminary plans\, and share feedback as the project moves forward. The enhancements are being designed to improve the experience for skaters\, teams\, spectators\, and visitors while helping Owens Center meet the community’s needs for years to come. \nAttendees will have the chance to ask questions\, provide input\, and be among the first to see what’s being considered for one of the region’s premier ice facilities. \nOne attendee will win open skate passes!
