More time together. \nEvery Friday from Memorial Day to Labor Day (5/29-9/4)\, stick around a little longer and enjoy extra evening hours at two of your favorite destinations:\nPeoria PlayHouse: Open until 6pm\nPeoria Zoo: Open until 8pm (last entry at 7:30) \nOn select Fridays\, June 26\, July 31\, and August 14\, the fun ramps up even more with the Peoria Park District’s Rec ‘n Roll inside the Zoo. Jump into field games\, try our STEM activities\, and get creative with a hands-on maker project led by the Peoria PlayHouse team. \nKeep an eye out for other special family-friendly activities and surprise pop-up fun throughout the summer. SUMMARY:Jubilee Day: A Juneteenth Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate freedom\, unity\, and Peoria’s rich Black history at Jubilee Day: A Juneteenth Celebration. This free community event invites attendees to experience a powerful evening of live entertainment\, cultural experiences\, food\, family activities\, creative activations\, youth engagement\, and opportunities for reflection and remembrance along Peoria’s RiverFront. \nJubilee Day takes place from 4:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Eckwood Park and the RiverFront Village Green Space. Guests are encouraged to attend the full celebration and experience the energy\, culture\, and community throughout the evening. \nView the event map here! \n\n\n\n\nThe celebration will feature live music and entertainment\, including Devin Brown and Jaylin Howard\, VJ Divide\, and a headline performance by MJ The Illusion. Also on the stage will be the top 3 performers from Proctor’s Got Talent and the crowning ceremony of the Talent Show Winner!
