Day Camps

Do you enjoy bird watching or hiking?  Forest Park Nature Center is for you!  Forest Park Nature Center offers seven miles of trails for hiking and nature enjoyment and is home to a gift shop that carries bird feeding and hiking necessities.  Interested in learning more about nature and all that it entails?  Forest Park Nature Center has classes for adults and children alike, covering topics from bats to bugs and everything in between.  Guided hiking tours are also available.

Check out our renovated spaces for your event including two gymnasiums with four basketball courts, four pickleball courts, and two volleyball courts. We also have a new dance studio and four brand new classrooms.  Scheduled programs, open gyms, birthday parties, community classes, summer day camp and additional fun events call LRC home!  Use one room or the entire facility to create the event of your dreams.

The Noble Center is not only home to the Peoria Park District’s administration offices, but also offers opportunities for rentals such as an auditorium with a stage–ideal for weddings and special events.  It also houses the District’s Book Court  and has meeting rooms that are used for fitness classes and other District programs.

Proctor Center is a year-round recreational facility the offers two gyms, auditorium with stage, a lounge area with television, weight room, arts & crafts room, game room, outdoor basketball courts, playground, and a play field area.

The splashpad is open from 11am-7pm, Memorial Day through Labor Day.

For 2022, the pool is open from noon-4pm, Monday – Friday starting June 6 and closing July 29, 2022. Look for changes or closures on the Proctor Facebook page.

Sommer Farm is a use-by-reservation/rental/special events/wedding facility with a focus on Living History & Environmental Education.  The 320-acre site offers private picnics and outings for groups of up to 1000, primarily April through November.  The park also features a teams course.
