Youth Dance
These classes are a progressive program of dance instruction. A dance revue will be held each April with costumes for any/all students in ballet, tap, jazz and Broadway Bound classes. Students must participate in both fall and winter/spring sessions to participate in the dance revue. (Students in dance lessons do not have to participate in the dance revue.)
DRESS CODE:
• Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Broadway Bound–
Girls: Leotard, tights, ballet and tap shoes
Boys: T-shirt, black tights, shorts or jazz pants, ballet and tap shoes
• Acrobatics & Tumbling–
Leotard, unitard, or sweat pants and gym shoes

Acrobatic & Tumbling - Beginner I: Ages 3-5 and 6-9
Stretches and tumbling exercises for the beginner, including cartwheels, front and back rolls, headstands, etc...Classes offered for ages 3-5 and 6-9 begin the week of 1/25.
Acrobatic & Tumbling - Beginner I & II: Ages 10-14
Stretches and tumbling exercises for the beginner ages 10-14, including cartwheels, front and back rolls, headstands, etc. Classes start 1/25.
Acrobatic & Tumbling Intermediate: Ages 7-16
Ages 7-16 must be able to do backbends and pull-ups, front limber and pull-up without assistance. Session starts 1/25.
Acrobatic & Tumbling Advanced: Ages 7-16
For ages 7-16 who are ready for flip-flops and aerials. Session starts 1/25.
Broadway Bound I: Ages 3-5 and 6-9
Tap, ballet, and jazz will be taught to ages 3-9 in this combination class learning basic steps to fun music. Sessions for ages 3-5 begin 1/26, 1/27, 1/28, 1/29, and 1/30. Session for ages 6-9 begins 1/30.
Introduction to Ballet III: Ages 3-5
Ages 3-5 continue learning the important skills and dance posture for Ballet with barre work and center floor. Session begins 1/26.
Introduction to Ballet II: Ages 3-5
Continuation of the fundamentals of dance such as rhythm, coordination and creative movement while ages 3-5 prepare for barre work. Sessions begin 1/26 and 1/29.
Introduction to Ballet I: Ages 3-5
Ages 3-5 learn the fundamentals of dance such as rhythm, coordination and creative movement while you prepare for barre work. Sessions begin 1/26 and 1/28.
Acrobatic & Tumbling - Beginner II: Ages 3-5 and 6-9
Continuation of the skills learned, this class will focus on backbends, front and back limbers, round offs, etc. This class is offered for ages 3-5 and 6-9; sessions start the week of 1/26.
Street Jazz-Hip Hop: Ages 6-11
This course emphasizes movement, isolations, stretching, strengthening, and rhythms for ages 6-11. Session begins 1/26.
Team Technique: All ages
Specifically designed for dancers/cheerleaders interested in learning skills required for auditions for their school squads. Session begins 1/26.
Parent & Tot Pre Dance: Ages 18-36 mos.
Enjoy dancing with your toddler. Mat stretches, skipping and marching, large motor fitness skills set to children’s music. Classes start 1/27.
Broadway Bound II: Ages 3-5 and 6-9
Building on skills, this class will emphasize technique to ages 3-9. Sessions for ages 3-5 begin 1/27 and 1/29; session for ages 6-9 begins 1/29.
Classical Ballet I: Ages 6-15
This introduction class for ages 6-15 begins with the fundamentals of dance such as rhythm, coordination, and creative movement. Session begins 1/27.
Classical Ballet II & III: Ages 6-15
Barre and center floor work will be emphasized. Session starts 1/27.
Explosion Cheer Team: Ages 4-16
Participants ages 4-16 are assigned to an appropriate-level competitive team to compete and perform. Season runs 1/27-4/25.
Explosion Dance Team: Ages 5-18
Dancers ages 5-18 will be divided into skill/age levels to work on multiple routines in three styles of dance. Season runs 1/27-4/25.
Poms and Tumbling: Ages 3-5 and 6-9
This class will teach you the basics that you need to know for a pom pon or cheerleading squad. This class is offered to ages 3-5 and 6-9. Sessions begin 1/28.
NEW! Cirque du Danse: Ages 7-16
Live shows like Cirque du Soleil and Celine Dion often have lyrical dancers performing in lavish and outrageous costumes. Here is a chance for ages 7-16 to learn these flowing dance moves. Session begins 1/29.
Acrobatic & Tumbling - Beginner III: Ages 6-9
Additional work to accomplish backbends, pull ups, and front limbers without assistance for ages 6-9. Session begins 1/30.
Spring Dance Recital
Demonstrate the skills you’ve learned in class! Any student enrolled in Ballet, Broadway Bound, Street Jazz, Cirque du Danse or Pom Pon can register for this recital on April 9th.
